BIOENERGY EXPO
The objectives of the European Union regarding sustainable energy and the reduction of greenhouse gas, fossil fuel price oscillations and, especially, the role of agriculture in safeguarding the environment all demand new impetus to implement the “Green Economy”. A possibility for improving the income of agricultural companies, already faced by increases in production costs and falling commodity prices.
Income from sustainable energy in agriculture is much more than just a challenge. It is an opportunity, that many companies in the primary sector have already grasped. Mention need only be made of figures for agro-energy in Italy and Europe, where production of sustainable energy is now in excess of 3,000 billion kW/hours.
Multifunctionality in agriculture also passes through clean energy: complementary income to primary production, closely linked with agricultural activity, that also helps reduce energy bills for fossil fuels, to the advantage of the environment and company financial statements.
New forms of energy - as a source of income and the key for strategic and effective interpretation of a new awareness combining environment, business and development - are now brought together at VeronaFiere.
Bioenergy Expo is the exhibition of sustainable energy designed to offer new income opportunities for agricultural entrepreneurs and present information and opportunities to energy sector operators concerning the generation of energy from agricultural sources.
The event is scheduled alongside Fieragricola - and the last edition event attracted an impressive 127,500 operators.
The first area-event dedicated to bioenergy was organised in 2006 and immediately aroused widespread interest.
